Born in California in 1973, to a North American mother and Cuban father, he studied photography at The University of Southern California and at Brooks Institute of Photography of Santa Barbara. He went on to finish his undergraduate degree in Painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and completed his formation with a Master of Art from New York University.

Since 1999, his work has been shown in galleries within the United States and Italy. Since moving to Barcelona, Spain, in 2001, he has worked on a variety of advertising and fashion campaigns, combining his technical skills and painterly approach to make contemporary photographs.

In 2007, he received the Spanish National Award of Professional Photography Premios Lux for work "Rocky Stardust".
